Went for lunch to Pok Pok last weekend. I love their food, especially their bloody mary. It is aromatic and herb-ilicious with a hint of spice. So I watched the bartender make it this time - and the trick is to add a bit of fresh curry paste in the mix! Will try it next week and post a recipe.
My favorite dish (out of those I have tried there) is their Roasted eggplant salad. I am sure that as I continue to go I will discover all that this Portland based eatery has to offer. Finding really good Thai food in New York is a struggle, unless you are willing to travel to distant boroughs, and I am so glad that Pok Pok is located right in Brooklyn. To be fair, the downside of the convenient location is that it is always packed and sometimes impossible to get a table. But for this level of delicious, mama is willing to wait.
