We started Masala Mama because we missed the taste and quality of food we had in India and couldn’t find here. Our goal was simple - to bring the flavors of our home to homes everywhere with sauces that provide the perfect backdrop for easy, fresh and delicious Indian meals.

The balance of spices is key to truly mouthwatering Indian food, and it’s what differentiates the “meh” from the “MMMMMMM!” At Masala Mama, we know that it’s not just the spices you use, but also how you use them that truly sets our sauces apart. We use the traditional Indian method of bhuno-ing - which basically means slow-frying the spices for our sauce - to gently extract their essential oils, delivering maximum flavor in each and every jar.

Harmony of the right and left brain! Our sauces combine the delicate artistry of crafting balanced, inspired flavor with the methodical obsession to get our recipes just right. As a ceramicist, our founder Nidhi brought the same passionate duality to her work at the wheel and kiln.
